Marble Blue is a hotel and beach bar that wants to provide a refreshing hospitality experience to people who want to enjoy a good time by the seaside.
The aim of this project was to create a visual identity that reflects and instills these emotions in their visual identity, creating a brand that makes people feel welcomed and comforted.
Given the name, our first instinct was something inspired by the earth or oceans. However, we knew that if this brand was going to truly connect with its audience, it needed something more—something that immediately brought the feeling of being right by the seaside.
We sketched out a lot of ideas which bought back the memory of being on the beach and the comfort and joy that came with it. The concept that stood out the most was the seashell, which really connected with childhood memories of collecting seashells and forming that special connection with the seaside. This served as the foundation for the rest of the brand which set a tone for a familiar, friendly, and perfect for a beachside retreat.
The primary mark was inspired by vintage badges which brought with it a sense of nostalgia and made the customers feel right at home along with rest of visual identity including the typography and colour which reflects the easygoing, people-focused vibe of Marble Blue, making everyone feel like they’re already at the beach.
